What is PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana?
Government of India's flagship rooftop solar scheme
Launched in February 2024 to make clean energy affordable for homeowners. Under this scheme, eligible households can receive up to ₹78,000 as a direct subsidy for installing rooftop solar systems. This will reduce dependence on the grid and lower monthly power bills for consumers.
The subsidy is transferred directly to your bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) after successful installation and commissioning.

The subsidy depends on the size of your rooftop solar system, with a maximum benefit of ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW or above.
